I’m fast approaching 25 and while I’m not showing any signs of ageing just yet, I am looking for ways to start incorporating preventative measures into my usual skin routine before I get to the point of needing a good tumbledry and maybe an iron too. Enter: SAMAYA Vata Anti-Ageing Cream.
I was lucky enough to receive a bottle of this SAMAYA Vata Anti-Ageing cream to try at the Blogosphere Valentine’s Tea Party. I was intrigued by the SAMAYA range after learning that they were made with all-natural ingredients so decided to have a little nosy while I was at the event. I got chatting with a rep and he explained that each person has a dosha. Your dosha is kinda like your energy or a way of identifying your needs based on emotional and physical traits. There are 3 types that you can fit into and it is totally fine if you think you may be a combination of 2. I identified most with the Vata. There is also the Pitta and Kapha.
Here is a more in-depth description from SAMAYA themselves as it’s probably better than a rambling attempt from me:
“Based on Ayruvedic principles, SAMAYA is an all-natural skincare brand consisting of three individually formulated ranges, which work in harmony with your specific dosha (your constitution). For each dosha type, the range includes a luxurious, rich Hydrating Cleanser, a powerful Anti-Ageing Cream and an indulgent Anti-Ageing Treatment Oil, all of which contribute to healthier, radiant looking skin. With an all-natural blend of botanical ingredients, which are free from parabens and synthetics, each range has a unique aroma that brings calm and serenity through the SAMAYA experience.”
Vital Ingredients in SAMAYA Creams
Vata: Rose, Turmeric, Tulsi, Gotu Kola and Ashwagandha
Pitta: Jasmine, Neem, Lotus, Turmeric, Saffron, Shatavari and Gotu Kola
Kapha: Ashwagandha, Sandalwood, Vetivert and Frankincense
I have been using this since I received it which has been over a month now. I really like to give skincare products a proper test run before I review them cos my skin is so finicky and freaks out about everything.
I have found that this is now an essential part of my daily routine. I use one pump in the morning before my make up and about three on the whole décolletage before I go to bed. I find the scent therapeutic and it’s never overwhelming, in fact I’ve started to find it quite comforting! I think this is the first cream/moisturiser I’ve ever used that doesn’t break me out at all. My skin feels hydrated without being sticky or oily and the cream sinks in fast. I actually feel so lucky I’ve been able to try this product and I can’t believe I’ve found something that actually works for me!
This retails for £89.00 for 50ml but a little goes a long way. You do not need to use a ton of this product to get the results you need. I think the bottle is going to last me a long time as I’ve been using it daily and the bottle is still about 3/4 full.
I would definitely buy this and I genuinely look forward to using this every day.
Have you tried any of the SAMAYA range? Let me know in the comments!
